Majel Barett was the original first officer in the pilot for Star Trek. She then played Nurse Chapel. She also voiced the computer. Her role in TNG was that of Lwaxana Troi. Please give me my nerd card now. |

She was also Mrs. Gene Roddenberry. You know the man who created Star Trek and thus his widow who inherited his share of the show. And she also did several character voices on the animated Star Trek series besides Nurse Chapel including the "cat-woman" M'Ress.
